Inspiration for a multi-media practice comes from the contemporary world around us, including an abiding fascination for narrative, pseudo and future science. The juxtaposition of different materials and processes is a key component of this endeavor as concept moves from idea, to actual and expressive material form with its own sensuous or metaphysical presence.
The Museum of Space Exploration (MOSE) www.museumofspaceexploration.org provides space to display pieces of work each with their own narrative. Future archaeology, where 'stuff' has existed, or was created in the far future, and then discovered, is an inspiration, as alternative worlds can be imagined, with their own material cultures and artefacts. MOSE has also collected works from the present, reflecting contemporary issues.
