Forthcoming and past events.

I generally work in series and produce 'collections' of prints, some linked by narrative, others variations on a theme. And I can't resist writing a few words (one after the other usually). In the galleries you can see some of my work from the last 2 years. I am currently working on a series of soft ground etchings of flowers and other growing things...and I have been exploring the joys of inking the plate in a looser, more differential way.

As an artist/printmaker I am passionate about the act of preparing a plate and paper for printing, placing them on the press, and then 'putting it to bed' by smoothing the blankets over it before the rollers apply pressure. It's the connection with history that appeals as well how printmaking techniques are evolving in the 21st century.

I have now specialised in printmaking, and am studying for the MA in Multidisciplinary Printmaking at the University of the West of England (Sept 09). I am a member of Spike Island Print Studio and North Bristol Artists.
